The Barclay is TOP NOTCH and the best independent living community in Charlotte. The food is excellent and the people that work there are very helpful and supportive of the needs of the residents. We looked at several options and this is by far THE BEST! They supported my mother and helped her navigate her life after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The activities for the residents are non-stop and she greatly enjoyed all of the live music and other activities. They allow pets and my Mom was thrilled to be able to have her dog join her there. If you are looking for an independent living facility, this is the one!

I was so scared to move across country and into a senior independent living environment; but this complex is phenomenal! It is cruise ship living on land. Everything reminds me of fabulous vacations I have taken. The list of activities, both on site and off; the elaborate menus, the courteous and supportive staff, and the sparkling decor all emote that “cruise ship vacation” feeling. The added bonus of now knowing I have planned for my future years before I have any physical or mental problems makes my son breath easier too.This was a superb decision!

It is a wonderful place to live. Beautiful surroundings, friendly people. Excellent food service. Many activities, lectures, concerts and outings. Knowledgeable staff that look after everyone from physical health thru exercise to spiritual and emotional health. I could not have made a better choice. Very happy to be here.
