We were able to place our friend in the Gardens Memory Care Unit. From day one we were impressed with the level of care and service he received. Staff goes above and beyond to care for residents in a compassionate and positive way. Our friend bonded with his care team and enjoyed visiting with staff. Residents bring in their own furnishings and staff is provided for housekeeping and laundry services. We visited often through the week and found the facility and friend’s room to always be clean and well cared for. Management had an open-door policy and was available to help with questions and personal concerns as they arouse. When hospice needed to be called in the management and staff worked well with the hospice team in providing support and care needed during this difficult time. The hospice nurse commented that when she has to provide services at a facility like the Gardens, she always has an eye out to see what kind of care level is provided. She complimented the Garden’s staff on their care, compassion, and understanding in helping to care for their residents.

My mom stayed at the Gardens for almost four years. In that time I usually visited every other day and I think it is a wonderful place. The staff are so caring and very thoughtful. I just love them! My mom was in the assisted living at first and, as her dementia advanced, we moved her to memory care. During one of the hardest times in my life, watching my sweet mother steadily decline, the caring staff were there not only for my mom, but also for me and my sisters. They are like family and I'm eternally grateful for them. ❤️

No nursing staff AT ALL. Not even CNA's. Highly paid babysitters that cannot provide even the most basic care. Multiple issues with bed bugs and roaches. Memory "care" unit staff EXTREMELY hostile with family, to the point I wouldn't trust them with a dog. Absolutely uncalled for, and unprofessional. Glad I'm moving my family out of this facility to a REAL facility with actual nursing staff who can care for them. Unbelievable. I'm so disgusted with this place, I can't even find the words to describe my outrage.

Setting Up a Medication and Medical Appointments Command Center: A Quick Guide for Older Adults Choose the Right Location Your medical command center should be easily accessible, but it shouldn't interfere with your ability to do other activities. If you live in an assisted living apartment, consider using an end table or a corner of your desk. You'll be able to reach your command center easily, but you won't have to worry about your medications, medical documents and appointment reminders getting in the way. You also need to be able to see what you're doing, so choose a location that has plenty of light. If you don't have room near a window, put your command center near a lamp. Finally, make sure everything is easy to reach. You shouldn't have to use a stool or lean so far forward that you nearly lose your balance.
