About The Kenney
Nestled in West Seattle's park-like Fauntleroy neighborhood, The Kenney has been welcoming seniors since 1909 — a faith-based, non-profit continuing care community with deep roots and a warm, campus-style setting. Residents can find their path from independent living all the way through memory care and skilled nursing, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing the community grows alongside their needs. The historic grounds, on-site arboretum, and proximity to Lincoln Park and Puget Sound make this a genuinely beautiful place to call home.
Our Care Approach
The Kenney offers six levels of personalised assisted living care, designed to support independence while providing exactly the right amount of help. The Connections memory care programme trains all staff in dementia care and sensory engagement, and the secured neighbourhood is designed with both safety and comfort in mind. A 24-hour call system, nurses on-site, and dedicated respite options round out a thoughtful continuum of support.
Family Experience
Families visiting The Kenney often describe a campus that feels welcoming and lived-in rather than institutional — staff greet visitors by name, residents socialise freely across the grounds, and guest rooms are available for out-of-town family who want to stay close. Dining with your loved one is encouraged, making visits feel like shared experiences rather than check-ins.

Had a great evening at The Kenney in West Seattle for a Chamber of Commerce event. It's incredible that this place isn't just a senior living community—they've got this amazing arboretum on site! I was really impressed by all the different trees and flowers they have. Truly a hidden gem in the area. The staff was super friendly and even mentioned they offer free tours if you're curious about the place. If you’re nearby and want to see something special, I'd definitely recommend stopping by!

My mom has been a Kenney resident for several years. I could not be more pleased with her care at the Kenney. Everybody on staff goes out of their way to be kind, caring, and respectful of every resident. Guest rooms are available for out-of-town family and visiting family can dine with their loved one. The food is surprisingly excellent, definitely far better quality and variety than one normally associates with "institutional meals". My mom has resided at four different elder care facilities in Seattle over the past decade. The Kenney is head and shoulders above the rest. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great place for their aging family member to tour the Kenney. Jeff DeBell Llano TX

Toured THE KENNY today with Kimberly Spencer. I am interested in 2bdrm/2bath independent living unit. Kimberly was very knowledgeable and professional, as well as answering all questions. The buildings are very clean and quiet. I found it charming that there is such a variety of apartment styles. In addition, the grounds were lovely and very well cared for. There was another definite plus, that is that there is storage available outside the the apartment for items such as luggage/sports equipment or holiday decorations. As presented the rents and fees seemed very reasonable. Kimberly was terrific and certainly made this a serious contender. S. Watson
