🏈 House Divided at Cedars: Hawkeyes vs. Cyclones! 🏈 Everyone was excited for the Iowa vs. Iowa State rivalry game! 🐥🌪️ 🖤💛 Our competitive residents dressed in team colors, threw around the “pigskin” and joined us for a party to remember! We served pigs in a blanket and warm cheese hamburger chip dip. 🥣 🏆 The Cyclones beat out the Hawkeyes by just 3 points!!

💜 Tie-Dye for a Cause 🎗 Our loving residents got creative and purposeful—tie-dying Alzheimer’s Walk shirts in every shade of purple imaginable! 👕🎨 💜 Each creative design is unique as the beloved resident or staff who made it and we can’t wait to wear these to our walk! 👟 This is just one step in Keystones’ commitment to raising awareness and support!

🇺🇸 🔥Happy 4th of July!🎶🍉 🎊 This party was all hands-on deck! You saw our wonderful residents helping husk sweet corn 🌽 …and then our amazing Culinary Director, Brady, was smoking brisket at 2am! 😲🔥🍖 These delicious cookout staples were added to our spread of BBQ chicken legs, watermelon, potato salad and a fresh berry layered cake. 🍓🍰 Dave Wirtz’s patriotic tunes filled the air 🎶 and our vibrant residents and staff wore their most patriotic red, white and blue. ❤️💙🤍 🎆 Happy 4th of July from all of us at Keystone! 🇺🇸❤️💙

🚗 👔 A Father's Day to Remember 👨🍖 Happy Father’s Day to the incredible men—past and present—who have shaped our lives with strength, love, and laughter! 💙 We honored them in many special ways. 🖼 Residents submitted cherished photos of their fathers, now displayed all week on our TVs—a touching tribute that brought smiles and stories to life throughout the halls. Our afternoon revved up with a visit from the amazing Classy Chassy Car Cruisers Club 🚘—what a sight! Residents marveled at the classic cars, sat inside vintage rides and relived memories of the good ol’ days. 🍺 Cold beer in hand, we strolled from engine to engine - each one sparking a story of joy. Dinner was nothing short of a feast: grilled BBQ pork ribs or sirloin steaks 🥩, party potatoes or loaded baked potatoes 🥔, bacon-wrapped asparagus, cheddar corn, juicy watermelon 🍉… and for dessert? House-made chocolate caramel pecan cupcakes 🧁 with homemade frosting! 🥨 Every resident also received chocolate-dipped pretzels and some extra thoughtful gifts for the dads: a bottle of Dad’s Root Beer, a beef stick and more pretzels to snack on. Huge thanks to our families, friends and phenomenal staff for making this celebration so full of heart. 💛

🎉 Cinco de Mayo: A Celebration of Culture & Courage 🌮🎺 🇲🇽🥂 This festive day marks Mexico's victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, a symbol of resilience led by General Ignacio Zaragoza. 🌵🍹🎶 Our celebration was bursting with color, culture and community 🇲🇽 as Residents enjoyed some trivia, fun music, chips & salsa, mini tacos plus churros for dessert! 🌮 Delicioso! The spread was complete with fresh margaritas in every flavor—from classic to strawberry lime, peach, mango and raspberry. 🍹🎉 Residents had a blast dressing up, snapping photos and laughing in their mini sombreros! 😂🎩 What’s your favorite part of Cinco De Mayo - the food, music, history or maybe the community spirit?

🧸 Pajama Day Bliss 💤 We embraced all things comfy and cozy for National Pajama Day! 🛏️💫 Residents and staff spent the day in their favorite pajamas—and sone even brought along their beloved childhood stuffed animals 🧸💖 We enjoyed yummy pancakes by our chef, Skyler who was flipping pancakes in the dining room! 🥞🥘🍳 They had several different kinds of pancakes to choose from - blueberry, Chocolate chip, buttermilk plus different fruits to put on top. 🍓🍒🍇 😃 It was a day full of smiles, stories and that warm, familiar feeling of home. 💭 Do you have a favorite pair of pajamas or comfort item?
