My mom was in the Assisted Living side of The Ridge first and we had a very positive experience. The staff was kind and the facility is beautiful. I then had to transition her into the memory care unit and things went downhill quickly. I am not sure I have ever posted a negative google review because I really believe in positive feedback and supporting businesses, but this is too important not to acknowledge. Having a parent (at a young age) with dementia is devastating, knowing they are not being taken care of is a nightmare. I had several meetings with directors, nurses, staff without any changes to my mom's care. She was not being showered regularly, her clothes were not changed daily, sometimes she went 4-5 days without a change of clothes and her room always smelled of urine despite my pleas to clean it. The smell was so overwhelming my girls would wait in the hall while I would get my mom ready to go out with us. These residents are vulnerable older adults who need care and protection. My only request was that the staff was kind, my mom was clean and her room was clean, but that did not happen. I was terrified to move her with her condition as it can cause regression in people with dementia. My mom has been in her new facility for 2 months now and she is thriving, the staff is incredible. I cannot believe I left her in memory care at the Ridge as long as I did. I would caution anyone against placing a parent or loved one in the Ridge Memory Care.

I have worked in this industry for almost 20 years and I have never felt more confident in referring my patients and people I meet who need Assisted Living to The Ridge. Hope and Savannah are very caring and will make sure you find the right Apartment as well as guide you through a process that can be overwhelming. The passion they have for every senior to have the utmost enjoyable experience is what we should all strive to find for our loved ones. I haven’t even touched on the nursing staff that go above and beyond when caring for their residents! If you are looking for an Assisted Living with great views, exceptional care and a staff that truly cares I would start right here!
