About The Terraces of Phoenix
The Terraces of Phoenix brings together spacious, modern apartments and a 22-acre campus filled with gardens, walking paths, and mountain views—offering a sense of openness and connection rarely found in city living. Residents here can choose from independent living, assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing, all on one campus, so care adapts as needs change. Chef-prepared meals, a state-of-the-art gym, outdoor pool, library, and daily activities keep life lively, while the friendly, small-town vibe makes it easy to form lasting friendships. Families appreciate the peace of mind that comes with having medical services and rehabilitation options right on site, plus the convenience of being close to hospitals, pharmacies, and local dining.
Our Care Approach
The Terraces of Phoenix emphasizes a continuum of care, allowing residents to transition between independent living, assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing as needed. Staff are generally described as friendly and attentive, with particular praise for the dining and fitness teams. However, some reviews indicate that care coordination and communication can be inconsistent, especially in the health center, and that leadership may need to focus more on staff support and resident well-being.
Family Experience

However, some families report challenges with timely communication from administration and varying levels of staff engagement, especially during rehab stays. Reviews
Based on 69 reviews
Reviews for The Terraces of Phoenix reflect a mix of strong community spirit and some concerns about care consistency. Many residents and families praise the friendly staff, beautiful landscaping, and active social life, with several mentioning how much they enjoy the food and fitness programs. - Friendly, caring staff and a strong sense of community
- Beautiful, well-maintained landscaping and campus grounds
- Wide variety of activities and chef-prepared meals
- Inconsistent communication and care coordination, particularly in rehab
- Leadership and administrative support sometimes lacking empathy
- Mixed experiences with medical and nursing staff

Do not send your loved one here for rehab. No consistency or communication between front line staff. Some good front line nurses and aids but generally no one seemed to know anything about my loved one and would ask us questions about his care. Nurse call button left in a drawer out of reach and used biohazard medical equipment left in the bathroom sink. Admin even worse. My loved one was there for over a week and we had to ask for communication with the SW and other support professionals. Requests for calls from admin delayed by two days. Health doesn’t take the weekends off. Case planning meeting sounded like a cut and paste of every other patient and like they never even met my loved one who was declining under their eyes. Do not let your loved one be sent here for rehab.
