My mom has been at Villages at Skyline Pines for several years and we love this place. The staff treats mom so well and she loves them. The administration has always addressed any random issues we have requested help with. The other residents all look happy and tidy. We have witnessed staff interact with my mom and other residents and they all do so with kindness. Can’t say enough positive things about Billages in Rapid City.

My mom has been in the memory care unit for 14 months. She went in unmedicated with moderate alzheimers and was angry, difficult to deal with and it was just hard for me as a caretaker and employed full time to give her the careand protection she needed with her having all these issues. the village worked for a smooth transition. Mom was NOT easy to manage in the beginning but they were prepared and were able to get her the help needed to live there. So fast forward to now- mom is happy, she likes it there. She does have moderate alzheimers but the staff has been nothing but caring to her and to other residents when i have been there. Mom is medicated but not to the point of being constantly sedated. I'm able to take her out for lunches. Dr Andrew that handles the case load there is great for understanding the level of care and voicing that to family. The administrator Kelli has been great to work with. I can send emails asking how mom is periodically and she responds right away. I feel comfortable not having to see mom constantly to make sure shes getting adequate care because i know she is. There are times when i take her out , they have her hair french braided. They have her nails done (which is kind of hilarious since she hated getting her nails done, but now its her thing lol) Mom has bad knees and does fall sometimes. They call me immediately. I like that mom has the freedom to move around and isn't tied to a room or a wheelchair. During covid they still allowed residents to walk around the memory care and I'm so thankful for that. I feel like i have a bit of knowledge about care in this area with my dad going into a different assisted living and then rehab and nursing home til he passed. The level of care here exceeds what he had.

I would like to give my highest possible rating to the Village at Skyline Pines. They took care of my 93-yr-old mom in both Memory Care and on her final journey in Hospice. Both the administrative and day-to-day staff are wonderful! My mom was a very fussy eater and we knew that eating other than at home would be difficult for her. The food service was wonderful and the staff was always so excited to tell us that they had found something that she would eat. Everyone was so caring and professional and felt more like family than an institution. We cannot express how happy we are that we chose the Village to take care of my mom when we no longer could!
