My mom was a resident in memory care both at a facility in Renton, Washington and at Vineyard Park at Lynden Manor. Our experience at Lynden Manor was far superior. One of the biggest differences was pricing. At Lynden Manor, costs were structured in clearly defined levels of care. My mom required the highest level, and even then, pricing felt transparent and predictable. In contrast, the Renton facility used more of an à la carte model—charging extra for each added medication, every shower, and additional assistance. We never really knew what the monthly bill would be, and it was consistently higher than expected. At Lynden Manor, the contract was reviewed annually, and we always felt the pricing was fair and reasonable. More importantly, the quality of care at Vineyard Park at Lynden Manor stood out. The staff was compassionate, attentive, and truly supportive. We couldn’t have asked for a better team. One thing we especially appreciated was being able to reach memory care staff in the evenings when needed. At the Renton facility, it was nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone after hours, which was incredibly frustrating and concerning. I do have a couple of suggestions for improvement, which I share only because this is a genuinely caring community and I’d love to see it be even better. First, the memory care area could benefit from some cosmetic updates—fresh paint and newer furniture would make a noticeable difference. Second, communication from the administrative staff could be improved, particularly with more consistent follow-up on emails and phone calls. Overall, we are very grateful for the care my mom received at Vineyard Park at Lynden Manor and would recommend it to others seeking a supportive memory care environment.

Pleasant, concerned staff checking if there are questions about visitors, outings, med changes, shots or personal care offered in the facility. Good supervision when adequately staffed. Memory Care (1st floor) activities are sporadic. Residents seem to favor music, stories that go along with pictures, simple art projects and chair games. Animal visitors are a favorite!
