My mom lived at Fieldcrest for 5 years. She was well cared for and loved living at Fieldcrest. We couldn’t have asked for better care. The Nursing Staff and the caregivers were top notch. She felt so loved.

The staff are great but the memory care wing seems understaffed, therefore reactive vs proactive in caregiving. Communication is best done through the nursing staff as the director does not respond to calls/inquiries. Why give the director’s name and phone number when my review says he doesn’t respond?? Short staffed- please pay your workers more so you can hire and RETAIN staff. For what rent is, I would hope those who work with the elderly deserve a higher wage. The food program also needs to be improved. Every time I’ve sat with my loved one at a meal, they have been short food (“they ran out of fruit, vegetables, etc” or “they did not send over enough of …”). Again, for what it costs to live there, the meal program is lacking. Once again, the staff (nursing, CNAs, etc) are doing the best they can with the resources they are given. Another visit- still short staffed in the memory care unit- are they paying more to attract workers? They are raising prices/rent for residents but no word if that will translate to better pay for those that directly work with residents. Why do they often have ONLY ONE staff member to care for the residents with the highest needs??? Do better Fieldcrest!! We ended up leaving memory care at Fieldcrest and it was the best decision for my parent- wanted my parent to have quality care at the end of life. Do NOT recommend this wing of the facility.

I just want to say my mother and I were very impressed with the staff at FieldCrest. We visited numerous times and my mother was looking forward to being part of their assisted living community. They were very accommodating about our need to push back move-in dates for her apartment because of her hospitalizations, and they coordinated with the medical staffs at the skill nursing facilities and hospital my mom was bouncing between on what her care needs would be and when she would be strong enough to move in. Unfortunately, my mother passed away just days before we were hoping to move in. Fieldcrest was very sympathetic, and despite holding the apartment for numerous weeks, they offered to return the deposit without being asked. They are a class act, and I highly recommend them based on my experience.
